ACCC updates guidance on infant sleep and inclined non-sleep products
The ACCC Product Safety team has updated key guidance for the Infant Sleep Product Mandatory Standard after constructive engagement with industry stakeholders.
These updates give suppliers clearer direction on compliance. They focus on curvature requirements, how the mandatory standard applies to inclined non-sleep products, and appropriate sleep guidance for parents and carers.
The revised guidance reflects effective regulator–industry collaboration. It clearly explains regulatory intent while meeting Australian Government accessibility and readability requirements.
